The scrubber comprises a preconditioning spray zone, one or more Multi-Jet impingement trays, and a mist eliminator at the top. Sprays in lower section cool and humidify incoming gases and remove large particulates. Multi-Jet Impingement trays are the primary working elements which consist of perforated plates with small baffles mounted above the perforations. In operation, gases are subdivided into thousands of minute jet streams upon passing through the plate perforations, aspirating water as they jetting up through the water layer on the tray and impacting on the baffles to produce intimate gas-liquid contacts. Effective particulates removal and simultaneous gas absorption and cooling are provided.

For MultiJet Impingement Scrubber performance refer to Appendix A

Packed Bed Scrubbers

  • Low Pressure Drop Media Minimize Energy Cost

  • High Efficiency Over Wide Range of Through Put

  • High Mass & Heat Transfer Rate Media

  • For Gas Absorption, Cooling, Odor Control, Air Stripping, Bio-sorption....

AIT packed bed scrubbers use high efficiency media to achieve high mass and heat transfer rates at low pressure drop. These media provide uniform crisscross channels throughout the packed bed to promote repeated intermixing and interface contact between the gas and liquid for effective mass and heat transfer. These media are also resistant to fouling and solids buildup.
